I guess my first post showed up, so here I go again. I can't get pictures to upload on our dial-up computer, however. I don't have much time today, but I've been missing my stress reducing blog sessions. :) It is after 4 and the kids are still working on school and chores. I still need to get my lesson ready for Gophers (Word of Life preschool club), but that never takes very long.
I've been thinking a lot lately on how much I've changed parenting techniques over the years. Ruth is almost five months old. My mom gave her a sip of water out of her glass the other day and the kids got all excited. They are ready to give her something to eat. The past few babies I've waited until 7 or 8 months to start any solids. I would really like to wait until 1 year, but I usually start throwing crackers or cheerios at the baby when we eat around 7 months. It makes for a more peaceful meal . . . well, as peaceful as a meal with 7 kids can be. My Dr. with Nathan, Esther, and Noah was happy with my plan and said I could have up to a year. My Dr. with Josh was much more "by the book" and told me I need to start at 6 months (which I ignored, by the way). Our latest Dr. just asked when I planned to start solids. :) I guess he is smart enough to know I've figured out what I want to do.
I'm off to play mommy!
